TMC Russia was held on 1-2 March at the international coffee and tea conference and exhibition Russian Coffee & Tea Industry Event.
The Russian final round winners are: Tatiana Deynega (graduated from the tea school Chaism.pro, the Ural region) — in the category Tea preparation, Ustinya Kosterkina (Tea Height, Moscow region) — in the category Tea pairing and Anna Belova (SA Classic, St. Petersburg region) — in the category Tea tasting. The best masters of Russia will represent our country in international competition Tea Masters Cup International 9-10 June 2016 in Seoul (South Korea). All participants received prizes from the general sponsor — Group of Companies Orimi Trade and the Sri Lankan Embassy in the Russian Federation (represented by the Sri Lanka Tea Board), and the winners received also gifts from the sponsor company Bunn and partners RUCTIE — Internet-shop Senor-Porcelain and the company Rosshokolad.
As part of the panel of judges this year were: Denis Shumakov, succeeds to perfectly cope with the duties of the principal and technical judges, and moderator, Alena Velichko, filling the championship with a special atmosphere of friendliness and positivity, specially arrived from Sri Lanka expert for tea Shamal De Silva, an unsurpassed wine expert Denis Rudenko, whose objective opinion made a certain balance in evaluation of tea professionals, as well as Maria Semenyuk, who supported to the organizers with her presence at the championship and preparation to the judging in a fairly short period of time.
Carrying Championship on a high professional level, it was made possible only by the sponsorship of companies: Group of Companies Orimi Trade, constantly providing full support to the development of tea industry and tea culture in the country and for the second time taking part in the project TMC Russia, Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation (represented by the Sri Lanka Tea Board), which in addition to the financial support provided teas for the competition, as well as Rusteacoffee Association, acted as the official sponsor of the event. Technical Partnership took over the company Bunn, granted for the championship boiler, and the company Water line, provided with water, which was used in the work of the participants and judges.
