One of the most important countries in Central Asia, with a distinctive tea culture joins the Tea Masters Cup (TMC) project. In accordance with the agreement reached, the national coordinator of the TMC in Uzbekistan will be Mr. Feruz Rasulov from Mr-Black company, which are the organizer of the biggest specialized tea and coffee event in Uzbekistan. The first national tournament is scheduled to be held in Tashkent on 10-12 of May within the framework of the Coffee&Tea Fest Uzbekistan.
“The history of tea in our country begins from the time of the Great Silk Road caravans, and over hundreds of years tea in Uzbekistan has acquired the status of a special drink – today it is an integral part of the culture of our people. At the same time, we see the new challenges facing the tea market currently. Therefore, we are enthusiastically joining the Tea Masters Cup project in order to participate in the formation of modern tea culture through competitions, relying on our traditions and sharing our experience with colleagues from other countries of the world” – says the national coordinator of TMC in Uzbekistan, Feruz Rasulov.
* Tea Masters Cup is a unique international system of competitions among tea professionals held in four different categories since 2013: Tea Preparation, Tea Pairing, Tea Mixology and Tea Tasting. Currently, 27 countries are registered to hold national TMC competitions. The international final of the Tea Masters Cup is held annually, following a series of qualifying championships in the participating countries. Countries that have hosted the world championship in the past: Turkey, South Korea, China, Vietnam.
* Mr-Black is the organizer of the Coffee&Tea Fest Uzbekistan, which was created by Mr. Feruz Rasulov and organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture since 2022. The festival covers a huge range of types of coffee and tea, from traditional brewing to alternative modern methods, from the 3rd wave coffee culture to the Speciality coffee industry. In addition, the festival covers the most respected representatives of HORECA and therefore becomes a meeting place for all coffee and tea lovers and one of the most important events in the region. The festival celebrates and popularizes the coffee and tea heritage, as well as its history, holding exhibitions, championships, workshops, seminars, and live concerts.
