In Belarus, on Sunday, February 21 at the second time was held a national tea competition Tea Masters Cup Belarus. For one day the Beijing Hotel in Minsk, which hosted the championship, was transformed into a real tea house: in the air there were aromas of fine tea, which flow as a river like people wanting to get to know the culture of tea.
More than 2 thousand people attended the event, people were coming for an hour, or for the whole day or for a minute to have a cup of tea.
Nobody remained indifferent — each guest discovered something new, interesting and useful. Numerous master classes on brewing and presentation of tea companies have found an echo in the soul of many tea lovers.
Championship consists of three categories: Tea Preparation, Tea pairing and Tea Tasting. 11 people participated in the competition. They are amateurs and professional tea specialists from Minsk, Vitebsk and Brest.
The jury, which consisted of tea experts from Belarus, Russia and Turkey, were evaluated not only tea brewing technology, the taste of the beverage, but also charisma of masters and their ability to convey their idea to the audience.
The victory in Tea Preparation went to Victoria Borisovets, in Tea Pairing — Alexander Brajnikov, in Tea Tasting — Alexey Kupryakov.
Thus, Victoria Borisovets, Alexander Brajnikov and Alexey Kupryakov will represent Belarus at the international tea Championships in Seoul, which will take place in summer.
